every aspect of the visual arts (painting, sculpture, graphic arts,
architecture, decorative arts and photography) from prehistory to the present
day. The entries are authored by experts in the discipline and subject area of
each article. Over 2,500 thumbnail art images and line drawings are displayed
in the text of articles and extensive links (over 40,000) to important art
images in galleries and museums around the world are included. A Harvard
Public Library or C/WMARS library card number is required to search it.
