Meet Dusty, the New Police Assistance Dog ~ All Ages
Detective Daniele Fortunato of the Harvard Police Department will bring Dusty, the department’s new assistance dog, to the library for a special meet and greet (and a story)! What is a community assistance dog? Detective Fortunato explains it this way: “An assistance dog is a fully trained service dog that is provided to me (who does not have a disability) and will be dedicated for different areas of need in the community. For example…An assistance dog will be used for participation in activities with students in the Harvard School System and also offer comfort, social/emotional support, and a sense of security to students too.” Meet this special dog at one of these events!
Update: we will be in the Story Room on 2/8 (which is a smaller room that can only accommodate about 25 children), and on 2/25 we will be upstairs in Volunteers Hall (which can accommodate more attendees).
If it is possible for you to attend on 2/25, please choose that date so that our Story Room isn't too full on 2/8!
Drop-in – registration not required.
