Frozen Balloon Art

In Tuesday's Art & Stories, we did a really fun Process Art/STEAM project: Frozen Balloons.
Pictured are the balloons before we peeled them (so that they were giant chunks of ice) and then put them into big buckets of water.
Once the balloons were in the water buckets, we experimented with putting food coloring, salty water, salt, and liquid watercolors on them.
We made all kinds of cool observations, and the chunks of ice were pretty pieces of temporary process art, too!
