Bookplate Information

BOOKPLATES!

For all of you eager Harvard readers who have read more than 30 hours and earned a bookplate, see the information below about how bookplates will work this year.

Beginning on Tuesday, September 1 you may choose the library book in which your bookplate will go. (Remember that you stopped counting your hours on August 13 at 9:00 PM.)

Things are a little different this year for bookplate selection, and that’s ok!  The most important things to know are these:

1) Mrs. Abby is on vacation until August 26, and bookplate selection can’t happen while she’s on vacation (and she’ll need a couple of days to catch on paperwork when she comes back!).
2)  Bookplate selection begins on Tuesday, September 1, but you have until October 31 to choose the book in which your bookplate will go.
3)  Bookplate selection will take place via email – send an email to childrensroom@harvardpubliclibrary.org AFTER September 1 to touch base with Mrs. Abby about choosing your bookplate book.
4)  Remember: you must choose a library book that is in the children’s room, and you must choose a book that doesn’t already have a bookplate in it.  (Don’t worry, we have a spreadsheet and can help with this!)

Great job reading this summer, everyone!
