Art & Stories for 4’s & 5’s
Art & Stories for 4’s & 5’s – Ages 4 & 5 and up: Mondays at 1:30 PM
No storytime on 1/19, 2/16, 4/13, and 4/20
This 30 to 45 minute program, appropriate for children ages 4 to 7, begins with a few longer picturebook stories and phonemic awareness activities, then ends with a process art project that encourages preschoolers to explore art materials in an open-ended, creative manner. Make sure to wear clothes that can get messy!
Our phonemic awareness activities will focus on learning and practicing the short vowel sounds and then some consonant sounds, and learning to put sounds together to make simple words.
Registration is required for the winter/spring session. Enrollment is limited to 12 children. Register once to sign up to attend this storytime from January 12 through May 18.
(No worries, it's ok to miss some meetings over the course of the winter/spring session!)
Note that this storytime is specifically geared towards children ages 4 and 5 and up, and will be held in the story room. Younger siblings may play in the children's room play area with their caregivers while the 4 & 5 year olds are in storytime - we have a new train set, puzzles, and stacking and sorting toys for the younger siblings to enjoy!
