Edible Books Contest ~ All Ages (3 Age Categories)
Get creative with food and literature! Create something with food to represent a book: you could create a broccoli forest for Where the Wild Things Are, or bake an Elephant and Piggie cake for the Elephant and Piggie books. Or perhaps you’re a fan of Moby Dick – you could decorate a whale-shaped cookie. The only two guidelines are that your entry be made of food and related somehow to books.
There will be three age categories: Kids, Teen, and Adult.
Entries will be displayed in Volunteers Hall for the day of April 2; drop off your entry when the library opens at 10:00 AM, and pick your entry up by 7:00 PM.
Voting: there will be paper ballot slips for voting in the library. The day of the event, voters can look at the entries in person; for a week after the event, there will be photos of the entries in the Children’s Room. Voting will stay open for a week, through April 9!
Voting will decide the winner for each age category – winners get bragging rights and an awesome 1st place ribbon!
Call the Children’s Room at (978) 456 – 2381.
