Edible Books Contest on Saturday
July 24, 2019
Have you created an entry for the Edible Books Contest?
The summer version of the Edible Books Contest is this Saturday, July 27 - and we're hoping to have a lot of entries, since summer is such a great time to be creative!
Children, Teens, and Adults are welcome to create an entry (there will be three age categories). Drop off your entry in the children's room when the library opens at 10:00 AM, and pick up your entry before the library closes at 2:00 PM.
Entries will be on display in the Story Room for the day of July 27 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
What is an Edible Books Contest? It's a chance to get creative with food and literature! Create something with food to represent a book: you could create a broccoli forest for Where the Wild Things Are, or bake an Elephant and Piggie cake for the Elephant and Piggie books. Or perhaps you’re a fan of Moby Dick – you could decorate a whale-shaped cookie. The only two guidelines are that your entry be made of food and related somehow to books.
And there will be voting on the entries, so even if you don't enter the contest, please stop by the library to view the amazing entries and vote for your favorites!
Questions? Call the Children's Room at (978) 456 - 2381.
