For over 30 years, Rich Stadnik has been hunting for and propagating useful, yet long ignored apple trees. His work led to the discovery of many unnamed varieties uniquely suitable for hard cider. Join us for his discussion on New England’s forgotten apple trees, and how he turns this fruit into delicious hard cider. He will be bringing several apple varieties to try as well as some non-alcoholic cider varieties to sample as the season permits.

Rich established the Pup’s Cider Company of Greenfield, NH in 1999 to offer traditional New England ciders to the public. He also vends at and is president of the Bedford (NH) Farmers’ Market.
